Statement of the IRANIAN NATIONALISTS ALLIANCE
On the occasion of the 107th birthday of Shahanshah Ariyamehr, Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi
In the name of Iran, in memory of the emperor whose name and memory are immortal in the history of this land.
On the auspicious anniversary of the birthday of His Majesty Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi, Shahanshah Ariya Mehr, the IRANIAN NATIONALISTS ALLIANCE proudly and respectfully congratulates Her Majesty Shahbanu Farah Pahlavi, Prince Reza Pahlavi, other members of the glorious Pahlavi dynasty, and all Iranians who honor the memory and name of Shahanshah Ariya Mehr on this historic day. Today is not only the birthday of a king, but also a reminder of an era in Iranian history in which the ideals of progress, modernization, and the pride of the homeland were at the center of governance programs. Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi, Shahanshah Ariya Mehr, spent a large part of his life and reign on the development of Iran, expanding education, industrialization, and increasing the country's international standing.
The implementation of the reform programs of the White Revolution, the expansion of women's suffrage and social participation, the establishment of the Knowledge Corps and the Health Corps, the development of universities and educational centers, the advancement of national industries, the expansion of economic infrastructure, and the effort to transform Iran into an advanced country were among the most important measures of his reign. In our view, Emperor Aryameh wanted Iran to be a country worthy of progress, independence, prosperity, and respect among the nations of the world; an Iran whose children could look back with pride on its history and national identity and create a bright future with knowledge, effort, and creativity. The Iranian Nationalists Alliance considers it its patriotic and moral duty to proudly commemorate the services, efforts, and legacy of Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi and express its deep gratitude and appreciation to that Iran-loving Emperor. We believe that the passage of time, exile, and even death have not been able to erase the name of Aryameh from the historical memory of this land. Today, after decades of Islamic Republic rule, the name of the Pahlavi dynasty is once again heard in the cries and demands of the younger generation of Iran; a generation many of whom have never seen the reign of Mohammad Reza Shah, but by searching for history and recognizing the past, they have established a new connection with it.
The blood of the youth who have shed their lives on the soil of the homeland for the sake of Iran's freedom, the steadfastness of the families who demand justice, and the people's cry for freedom are proof that the dream of a free and proud Iran is still alive. For us, the memory of Shahenshah Aryamehr is inextricably linked to this dream of Iran's pride and freedom. We believe that Aryamehr is not just a name in history books; his memory lives on in the hearts of his lovers, in the thoughts of the youth who think about the future of Iran and in the desire to restore the glory and greatness of the homeland.
The spirit of Shahanshah Aryamehr will accompany the struggle for freedom, independence, and pride of Iran in our belief and feelings. On this auspicious day, the IRANIAN NATIONALISTS ALLIANCE once again emphasizes its commitment to the territorial integrity, national identity, freedom, and reconstruction of Iran, and declares its support for Prince Reza Pahlavi and the efforts to transition from the Islamic Republic to a free and prosperous future. We also, with respect for the late Shahanshah, pledge not to forget the wish for his body to return to the homeland. The day Iran is liberated, our wish is that the body of Shahanshah Aryamehr will be returned to his homeland with the glory and respect befitting an Iran-loving king, and one of the most magnificent national rituals of commemoration and homage will be held for him in the presence of the Iranian people. That day will be a day of paying homage to an important part of Iran's contemporary history; The day when the Shah's lovers can honor his memory and services on the soil of the homeland, fearlessly and without limits, and until that day comes, we will keep his memory alive; not only by speaking and honoring, but also by safeguarding Iran's historical heritage and striving to build a future worthy of the people of this land.
