Sana Tosangi
Sana Tosangi, a 12-year-old student, was a Yarsan Kurd from Kermanshah and a resident of Hashtgerd. Sana Tosangi's name, along with hundreds of other children and adolescents who died during this uprising, remains alive and immortal in the collective memory of the people and advocates of justice in Iran.🥀
On the evening of January 19, 1404, during popular protests in the city of Hashtgerd, Sana was the target of direct and targeted fire from the repression forces. According to published accounts, she was seriously injured by two live bullets (in the leg, side or back) and spent her last moments of life in her mother’s arms. 🥀
Her body was buried under intense security pressure in Nazarabad. The news of her death and videos of her 40th anniversary ceremony were published — in which the attendees chanted the slogan (We are teachers until the end).
