Amir Ali Ghanbarzadeh
The 61-year-old was a student, basketball player, and player on the Noonha Lan Basketball Academy team who lived with his family in Aryashahr, Tehran.
Loss: He was present in Karamdareh, Karaj (his father's workplace) during the popular protests (National Revolution) on January 19, 1402.
According to eyewitnesses, he was in the front rows of protesters, opening his arms to protect others, when he was directly targeted by the repressive forces and died after being hit by three live bullets in the head and jaw.
Burial: After much sabotage and security pressure on the family (including attempts to attribute him as a "Basij" or the claim of "falling from the roof"), his body was finally buried under strict and limited measures on January 22, 1401 in Behesht Zahra Cemetery in Tehran.
